The walls are up. The roof is on. Windows are in. Door is installed. The flooring is finished.
Side view of the cabin before the final pieces of roofing. I actually installed a portion of these panels while standing on a temporary platform/scaffold. Scary and a hot task in the sun. My roof assistant Mr. installed the rest:)
This is the front view with some additions not yet complete. The trim will be stained to match. A lantern will be hung. My door assistant Mr. hung the door because it is incredibly heavy. I did all the rest.

The front of the cabin. I still have to add trim to the gable.
UPDATE
Summer 2019
It has been a lot of work with both planning and the initial build. So far this is what I’ve come up with on paper and off. It is progressing. I chose corrugated metal for the roof. When I walk in, it is visible. I can also hear the rain. Two Gable vents will be installed. This is a 15 foot structure with 8 foot walls, a 5 foot loft, and 2 feet of ground clearance at the base. It has tested my height limits. It feels much higher when I am up there working. The roof is steep so snow will slide directly off. It is either being heated with wood or propane and a small solar addition for daytime warmth.
Progress….
